🇫🇷 PRINTEMPS ARRIVE 😃 ! 🌷🌷🌷 👗🧥 Couturier français d'origine britannique, Charles Frederick Worth (1825-1895) a passé sa jeunesse à travailler pour des marchands textiles à Londres, jusqu'en 1845 lorsqu'il s'installe à Paris. 🪡 Dans sa boutique parisienne Worth façonnait des créations achevées qu'il montrait ensuite aux clients sur des modèles vivants pour choisir selon leurs propres spécifications, méthode à l'origine de la haute couture. Worth était constamment intéressé à soutenir l'industrie textile comme en témoigne cette cape qui présente une répétition du motif extrêmement difficile à tisser. 🧵 🌷Le tissu "Tulipes Hollandaises", a été exposé à l'Exposition Universelle de 1889 à Paris. La cape se trouve aujourd’hui au Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection au Metropolitan Museum of Art. 🇫🇷 👁️ "IL ME SEMBLAIT LIRE SUR CES MURS TENDUS DE LAINE, NOS LENDEMAINS." 🔮 écrit Jean Lurçat en découvrant en 1937 la tapisserie l'Apocalypse d'Angers, qui lui donnera l'envie de faire la sienne. 💮 UNE ROSE PAS COMME LES AUTRES ! 💮 📖 Selon une légende chrétienne Madelon, une jeune bergère qui gardait ses moutons durant l’hiver, vit passer une riche caravane. Il s’agissait des Rois Mages, les bras chargés de cadeaux, qui se rendaient auprès de l’enfant Jésus pour célébrer sa naissance. Face à cette profusion de cadeaux, la pauvre Madelon se sentit démunie, n’ayant rien à offrir à ce nouveau-né tant attendu. Un ange ayant pitié d’elle transforma ses larmes qui tombaient dans la neige en une ravissante fleur : la rose de Noël était née ! Il est depuis coutume de disposer quelques hellébores noirs dans les crèches. 🎅 On retrouve des évocations de l’helleborus niger dès l’Antiquité, dans les textes de Théophraste et Dioscoride. On lui attribuait déjà de nombreuses vertus : outre ses propriétés purgatives, il était surtout considéré comme un remède à la folie. On raconte par exemple qu’Héraclès, rendu fou par un charme d’Hera au point de tuer ses propres enfants, recouvra la raison grâce à de l’extrait de racine d’hellébore. La plante était également utilisée en magie noire : on dit qu’elle servait à convoquer les forces obscures lors de rites d’exorcisme. Mais attention l’hellébore noir, comme l’ensemble des hellébores, est une plante très toxique ! Elle contient de l’helléboréine, qui paralyse le système nerveux et agit sur le cœur. 🇫🇷 ON AURAIT DÛ FAIRE ÇA LE 8 SEPTEMBRE ! 🧐 En 1852 est inaugurée la statue de la vierge Marie sur la chapelle de la colline de Fourvière. L'inauguration devait avoir lieu le 8 Septembre 1852, mais une crue de la Saône aurait empêché la cérémonie. L'inauguration est reportée alors 3 mois plus tard, au 8 Décembre, la date de la fête de l'Immaculée Conception de la Vierge. On prévoit des feux d'artifices depuis le haut de la colline et des fanfares devaient jouer dans les rues. Mais le 8 Décembre au matin, un violent orage s'abat sur Lyon. Le maître des cérémonies décide aussitôt de tout annuler et de reporter l'évènement. Puis, finalement, le ciel se dégage et les Lyonnais, d'un geste spontané, illuminent les façades des immeubles, les deux fleuves et même le ciel au-dessus de la ville. 🇫🇷 ON TRABOULE ? Dernière nouveauté 2023! 🤩 🧱 Le mot traboule, du latin trans ambulare, marcher, passer à travers, définit des passages à l'intérieur de groupes d'immeubles propres à Lyon. Les immeubles Renaissance du Vieux Lyon se sont construits sur le parcellaire du Moyen âge, caractérisé par sa forme « en touches de piano » : les parcelles longues et étroites étaient tracées entre deux rues parallèles. Afin de gagner un maximum d'espace, il existait peu de rues transversales. La traboule permettait ainsi de passer d'une rue à l'autre sans devoir faire de détour. In order to save as much space as possible, there were few cross streets. The traboule thus made it possible to go from one street to another without having to make a detour. À la suite de l’Occupation de Paris, Léger gagne les États-Unis en 1940. L’une de ses premières productions américaines est consacrée aux figures stylisées des plongeurs (Les Plongeurs polychromes, 1942-1946 et La Danse, 1942). Introduit en 1299 en Provence, c'est sous le règne d'Henri IV (1589-1610) que la culture du mûrier s'impose en France. Aujourd'hui il fait partie du patrimoine: ⛔ la LOI du 26 janvier 1941 (J.O. du 4 février 1941) interdit, sans autorisation spéciale, l’abattage des mûriers dans 24 départements français, dont le Rhône. 🌿 Riches en azote, les feuilles de mûrier sont la nourriture exclusive des vers à soie 🐛 (Bombyx Mori), élevés par onces : 1 once = 25g d'œufs = environ 30.000 œufs, donc 30.000 chenilles qui mangeront 400 kg de feuilles en 30 jours pour faire 30.000 cocons, équivalents à 7 kg de soie brute, qui perdra environ 30% de son poids après décreusage (nettoyage). 🇫🇷 ✨🔥En 1852, est inaugurée la statue de la Vierge Marie sur la chapelle de la colline de Fourvière. L'inauguration devait avoir lieu le 8 septembre 1852, mais une crue de la Saône aurait empêché la cérémonie. L'inauguration est reportée alors au 8 décembre 1852, la date de la fête de l'Immaculée Conception de la Vierge. Au Musée des Beaux Arts de Lyon et au Musée Soieries Brochier au Grand Hôtel Dieu 🤩 🖼️ Nouvel accrochage des collections XXe et XXIe siècle au MBA Lyon: 🗞️"En 1953, Miró présente un long collage à Aimé Maeght, dont la galerie représente l’artiste et édite ses lithographies. Devant l’impossibilité technique de réaliser une estampe à partir de ce projet, Maeght se rapproche de l’entreprise de soierie lyonnaise Jean Brochier & fils, à la renommée internationale, qui propose d’appliquer leur procédé d’impression au cadre et au pochoir sur un support soie. Cinquante exemplaires numérotés et signés de plus de dix mètres de long de ce makemono - rouleau japonais traditionnel qui se déroule au fil de la lecture - sont ainsi commercialisés en 1956. Près de trois ans de conception ont été nécessaires pour parvenir au « bon à tirer », ici exposé, validé par Miró. Les descendants de Jean Brochier ont très généreusement offert au musée ce témoignage exceptionnel de la collaboration fructueuse entre Miró et l’entreprise Brochier qui perpétue encore aujourd’hui ce savoir-faire. Des prêts de dessins généreusement consentis par la Galerie Lelong (Paris) complètent cette présentation. 🇨🇵 «Parmi les gravats on retrouva le tableau de Raphaël, brisé en dix-sept morceaux qui furent récupérés et mis en restauration le mieux possible ». Peinte vers l'an 1506, la "Madonna del Cardellino" est une œuvre de jeunesse du peintre, datable de l'époque de son séjour à Florence. Son titre est dû à la présence d'un chardonneret (cardellino) représenté sur le tableau. Selon Georgio Vasari, le tableau a été réalisé à Florence pour Lorenzo Nasi, un riche commerçant de tissu en laine à l'occasion de son mariage avec Sandra Canigiani, une dame appartenant à la haute bourgeoisie de Florence. Le couple habitait dans l'abrupte Costa San Giorgio et le 12 novembre 1547, l'habitation s'écroula. L'analyse aux rayons X a révélé que les fractures entre les divers morceaux étaient consolidées avec des clous et colmatées par de la nouvelle peinture. WORK IN PROGRESS 🎨🎨🎨🎨 À suivre 😉 🇨🇵 🖌️🖌️ Enfin nouveau dessin panne de velours à peindre à la boutique !! 🖌️🖌️ Tissage complexe datant de la fin du 19e siècle, réalisé sur métier Jacquard dans la Loire (42), la panne de velours nécessite minimum 3 mois de travail pour 20m de tissu. 🧵Deux nappes parallèles de mousseline de soie sont reliées par une chaîne en viscose (cellulose de bois) alimentée par 1064 bobines. Le velours est créé par la découpe au rasoir des fils de viscose et la séparation des deux nappes de mousseline de soie. 🖌️Après tissage, rasage et pannage, la pièce bicolore (fond de mousseline noir et motif en viscose blanc) arrive à Lyon pour la mise en couleurs à la main au pinceau. 🩸Après fixage des couleurs à la vapeur, c’est dans l’atelier de couture tout près de Lyon que s'effectue la finition de chaque pièce. 🇬🇧 🖌️🖌️ Finally a new napped velvet drawing to paint at the store!! 🖌️🖌️ Complex weaving dating from the end of the 19th century, made on a Jacquard loom in the Loire (42), the napped velvet needs minimum 3 months of work per 20 meters fabric. 🧵Two parallel layers of silk chiffon are woven together by a rayon (wood cellulose) chain fed by 1064 spools.
